"And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together:   for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it."

Isaiah 40:5

"And I will set My Glory among the heathen, and all the heathen (this unrighteous world) shall see My Judgment that I have executed, and My hand (the Left hand) that I have laid upon them."

Ezekiel 39:21

Hebron's Heritage, written in Hebron as events materialized, introduces a fantastic quest which has continued through the ages.   The reward for the victors, the blessed generation to bring forth GOD'S Holy Ark of the Covenant, includes the beginning of a whole new era in the existence of man.   It's a new era wherein the presence of GOD, "Shiloh" (Genesis 49:1,10), returns to dwell amongst men.   And GOD has promised to once again commune directly with His chosen leaders from a cloud atop the Mercy Seat as He brings man forth out of this "land of the North" (Zechariah 2:10-13; Isaiah 4:5; II Maccabees 2:7-8; Exodus 13:21-22; 25:22; 29:42-46; 37:6-9; Numbers 7:89; 9:14-23; Exodus 33:9-11; Sura 2:248; I Samuel 4:4; II Samuel 6:2; II Kings 19:15; Psalm 80:1; 99:1; Isaiah 37:16; Jeremiah 16:10-21; 23:7-8; Zechariah 9:14-17; 2:10-13).

Subsequent to this writing, on 10 February 1985, George and Dana found and photographed an ancient altar, the boundstone called "Abel" (I Samuel 6:18) and "Ebenezer" (I Samuel 7:12).   It is exactly where they had advised the Jewish authorities, archaeological professors at Hebrew University, and others over the preceding five years (See subsections herein:   "The Pyramid Of Giza" thru "Where To Begin").   The Hebrew "'ôben" describes it as two concentric discs, one atop the other, the dual of "'eben" (See Strong's #68-70).   Thus, at "Abel" there are two rings of natural stones, one 35-40 feet in diameter and the other about 14 feet across, one atop the other, each filled with earth.   This is Isaiah's sign and witness (Isaiah 19:19-20).   Note, it's southwest of Bethshemesh which is in "Egypt" (Jeremiah 43:13; Revelation 11:8).

Preface

The Significance Of Hebron
Setting The Scene With A Little History

Hebron, an ancient city located in the West Bank in Palestine, is about 19 miles South of Jerusalem.   Its claim to fame begins with the fact that Hebron is probably the world's oldest continuously inhabited city (excepting periods such as The Flood and the Egyptian and Babylonian captivities).   Archaeological evidence indicates that Hebron was first occupied in the days when Adam was about 400 years old or earlier.   Thus, Hebron is one of the world's oldest, more romantic, and more exciting cities when one considers its wealth of history and treasures.

For example, Hebron was the postFlood home of Noah and other Flood survivors who established themselves there until the days of Peleg (1757 thru 1996 From Creation) or to be more specific until c. 1988 FC or 333 years after The Flood.   Earlier, immediately after The Flood, the world was redivided and people returned to each of the four river regions represented or governed by Noah and his sons (Genesis 2:10-14; 10:25,32).

The (1) prime river (Pison) was the Jordan River Extended that sojourned Southward through the Edenic Valley now beneath the Red Sea.   See Nuzi Map at:

http://sites.google.com/site/briansestate/the-early-days

After transiting through that historic valley and the strait of Bab al Mandab, the Jordan Extended turned East through the Sea of Reeds (the Gulf of Aden today) to empty into the modern Arabian Sea and Indian Ocean.

When Noah's Ark reached its destination North of Tayma (Habakkuk 3:3), the survivors very probably settled in Tayma's ruins to partake of the fresh waters flowing into Tayma's ancient well apparently still functioning in modern Saudi Arabia.   From Tayma the survivors apparently split into four groups.   Noah and close followers went North to Hebron, and three other groups returned to their homelands:   (2) the Gihon (Nile) river, (3) Tigris-Euphrates rivers, and (4) the Hidekel (Indus) river.   Then in the days of Peleg, Noah's followers were sent out to reestablish GOD'S Word in each of the other three river regions.   Also, during Noah's extended journey, the early inhabitants of the Americas were established as both the "Raven" and the "Dove" represented people who departed Noah's Ark as it transited probably Central America.

Hebron's early name was Kirjath Arba meaning "the city of forests (people)" or "towns (villages) of Arba".   "Qiryah," from which Kirjath derives, means to impose timbers in the sense of flooring, i.e. to begin the first level or foundation for building a city or cities:   the Chief of the world's cities.

Arba or Arbah meaning "four" was another name of Noah and his three sons.   Arba also relates to "Arabah" as an Arbathite is an inhabitant of (Beth-) Arabah (See Strong's # 6164).   And Arabah derives from the desert lands of Arabia where Noah's great Ark came to rest.   Today, through Scripture and Hebrew definitions, the name "Arabah" links Hebron and Noah with the modern Saudi Arabia, the repository of Noah's great Ark.

Note that in this modern day the valley from the Dead Sea unto the Gulf of Aqaba has been called "Arabah" -- the link between Arabia and Hebron.

Yes, our ancestors, the descendants of postFlood man, all emanate from Noah's Ark and this early Arab stock many of whom dwelt in Hebron, called Kirjath Arba or Arabah.

Hebron was also the home of Melchisedek's Representative, the famous High Priest of Abraham's days.   Melchisedek's Representative apparently was another title or name for Noah's son, Shem, who lived from before The Flood unto Abraham's 150th year (i.e. 1558-2158 From Creation).   And Melchisedek is a name for GOD as Jesus is High Priest after the order (command) of Melchisedek (Psalm 110:1-4).

And, of course, Hebron had become the home of Abraham and his seed, young Ishmael and later Isaac.   Mamre, Abraham's home, is in Hebron (Genesis 13:18; 14:13,24; 18:1; 23:17-20; 35:27).

Hebron also was home for Isaac's sons, Esau and Jacob (renamed "Israel" by GOD).   And later, before Israel's sojourn in Egypt, Hebron became the home of Jacob's twelve sons:   Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Zebulun, Issachar, Dan, Gad, Asher, Naphtali, Joseph, and Benjamin.

Then upon Israel's return from Egypt following the historic Exodus, Hebron was given unto Caleb, who like Joshua, served Moses and the LORD.

Hebron even became the home of David, the city where David was anointed King, the home of six of David's wives and their children, and the city from which David reigned until he wrested the throne from Saul and his son Ishboseth.

And, as it will be shown, Hebron is the city chosen by GOD for the safekeeping of His Holy Things.   For example, Hebron became the hiding place for the Holy Ark of the Covenant, built under Moses and eventually removed from the Solomonic Temple and stored in Hebron more than 2490 years ago by Jeremiah (i.e. counting up until 1985 AD).

Even Solomon, a King of great wisdom, chose Hebron as his final resting place.

Therefore as Hebron's Heritage unfolds, Hebron, indeed, will be shown to be a city chosen by GOD, the city of many Patriarchs and the city chosen for the safekeeping of GOD'S Holy Things.   Yes, Hebron is one of the world's oldest, more romantic, and most exciting cities with a wealth of history and treasures soon to be revealed.
